It is with the deepest sadness that we inform you of the passing of Lawrence (Larry) Vogel Z’L on June 7, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his brother, Robert; his children, Michael Vogel (Joan), Sharon Sommer (Randy), and Robin Lownsbury (Brad); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Erika, Daniel, Matthew, Carmen, and Kendall.
Larry’s long tenure on the World Union’s North American Advisory Board impacted all those who served and worked with him. His input and assistance were always appreciated and his love of travel added valuable perspective to plans and discussions about our global Progressive Jewish communities over so many years. He will be deeply missed.
There will be a graveside service, open to the public, on Thursday, June 9 at 3:00 pm at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA.
The family will be receiving condolences following the service at 1650 Silver Hill Drive, McLean, VA – 9th floor lounge.
Please park in the theater parking, and see the concierge for access to the reception.
Shiva prayer service will begin at 6:30 pm.
