Connections 2021, Facing our Jewish Future Together, is shaping up to be an engaging and dynamic online conference, see details here and stay tuned as we launch more updates on content features, speakers, and more!
Connections is both a verb and the basis for our conference activities – our goal is to bring our movement together to share and network; Even if we’re online, we’re thinking of innovative ways to deepen and foster our connections. As part of year’s conference, we’re launching an International Shabbat Pulpit Exchange to match congregations from two different regions of our movement for Shabbat services or activities.
As of this writing, 105 congregations, from all seven World Union regions have signed up to join the program, and there is plenty of room for more!
Charlie Rothschild, Chair of the program and member of our Executive Board and Management Committee, shared, “I’m blown away by the eagerness and enthusiasm of our rabbis and congregation leaders to participate. I’ve heard from so many individuals who received our invitation how much they love the idea and how much they have been seeking such a platform for their congregations. Many are already sharing their creative ideas to jumpstart the relationships. For example, two very small congregations are planning a joint discussion about their cultural similarities and differences in different parts of the world. It’s amazing how versatile this platform can be.”
We have a few more congregations waiting for their matches to sign up – and there’s still time! To learn more about the program, read this invitation from Charlie and click here to sign your synagogue up today!
