Mourning the Tragic Passing of Devra Freelander z”l

It is with overwhelming sadness that we share news of the tragic death of Devra Freelander z”l, daughter of Rabbis Elyse and Daniel Freelander, past President of the World Union.

The funeral is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 12 noon at Barnert Temple in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.

Shiva will begin Wednesday evening at the Freelander home in NYC.

Devra was a video and sculpture artist who participated in artist residencies worldwide and whose artworks appear in Times Square and Long Island City.

She will be remembered for her passion, creativity, warmth and insight.

We are shocked and heartbroken to share this news with you.

The funeral will take place at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, July 3, at Barnert Temple.

  • Tuesday 7 – 9 pm, with a minyan at 7:30 pm
