Open Casting Call

 
 
 

We’re inviting video submissions from you, your families, congregations, and peer groups for two big scenes, deadlines for both are this Friday, November 6th: 

 

 

 

1. To me, Chanukah is ______

 

We’re looking for your answers to this open question: what does Chanukah mean to you? Film yourselves, your kids, grandkids, friends, synagogue groups, youth groups and more, with the script below. You can fill your clip with humor or with meaning, with one word or ten, but it must be 10 seconds or less.

2. Pass the Shamash!

 

We’re asking for you to film yourselves:

 

• receiving a lit shamash (lead menorah candle) from stage left, somewhere to your left and offscreen,
• lighting four candles (to represent the fourth night of Chanukah),
• and then, passing the shamash to stage right, somewhere to your right and offscreen.

 

No need for talking, and feel free to make it your own and have fun!
