Singer, storyteller, puppeteer, cantor and music educator, Evan Kent has an undergraduate degree in vocal performance from the Manhattan School of Music, a Master’s degree in Sacred Music from the Hebrew Union College and recently completed his doctoral degree in music from Boston University.

Evan’s award winning one-person show , “Shards” has appeared in Israel, Europe, and across the United States and is now being seen virtually throughout the world.

Most recently, Evan has starred in productions of “Guys and Dolls”, “Next to Normal”, “Avenue Q”, “She Loves Me” and Sondheim’s “Assassins.” Evan has appeared with the Los Angeles Opera, Santa Monica Opera and has been a featured soloist with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony.

Before emigrating to Jerusalem, Israel, Evan was the cantor at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles for 25 years. Currently, Evan is on the faculty of the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem and the cantor for Congregation Beth Shalom in Milan, Italy.

He has also appeared in a series of commercials and short films—most notably with a few of his favorite puppets.
