Progress in the Rabbi Miri Gold Case

Israel’s High Court of Justice gave the state a four-month extension to negotiate with the Israeli Progressive movement on the parameters of funding for non-Orthodox Jewish services. The move came during a hearing on June 17 as part of a suit to force the Ministry of Religious Services to pay the salary of Rabbi Miri Gold and other movement rabbis. Until now, the state has paid the salaries only of Orthodox rabbis. more...
